Recommendation Concerning a Change Order to Charles Neely Corporation, DBA PR Chemical and Paper Supply for Detergent, Chemicals and Other Inmate-Related Items Covered by PD 13-14.046 - Tammy Jarvis, Corrections Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the following Change Order 1 adding funds for detergent, chemicals and other inmate-related items covered by PD 13-14.046:

BACKGROUND:

In April 2014 the Escambia County Jail, under the direction of the Office of Purchasing, issued a solicitation for laundry, cleaning supplies and inmate goods (PD13-14.046). This solicitation resulted in a multi-award agreement all of which were approved by the Board on June 3, 2014. Effective April 1, 2017 one of the contracted vendors, Bobbie Graves Supply Company, Inc, will be dissolved as it was acquired by another company (Miami Dade Paper). The department wishes to add the remaining funds originally allocated to Bobbie Graves Supply Company, Inc. to Charles Neely Corp DBA PR Chemical and Paper Supply, another local vendor awarded an agreement as part of PD13-14.046.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funding is available in the General Fund 001; Detention Cost Center 290401, Object Code 55201.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance Article II, Purchase and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon approval of this recommendation, a change order will be submitted to the Office of Purchasing for processing.
