Recommendation Concerning a Change Order to Drug Free Workplaces, USA, LLC, for Community Corrections Program Participants' Court Ordered Drug Screening - Tammy Jarvis, Corrections Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the following Change Order 1 adding funds for Community Corrections program participants' court-ordered drug screening:

BACKGROUND:

Prior to fiscal year 2017 the costs related to the court ordered drug screens for the various Community Corrections programs were not accurately represented in the expenditures for the programs. In an attempt to better understand and evaluate the costs associated with various programs offered by Community Corrections an estimate was made and funding was allocated to the individual programs to cover their court ordered drug screening needs. It has been determined that the Pre-Trial Release program will need an additional $18,000 over and above what was projected for this expense. This change order will provide the funding necessary to cover the costs for the remainder of fiscal year 2017.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funding is available in the General Fund 001; Pre-Trial Release Cost Center 290307, Object Code 53101.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance Article II, Purchase and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon approval of this recommendation, a change order will be submitted to the Office of Purchasing for processing.
