RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #035 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #035, CDBG HUD Entitlement Fund (129), in the amount of $55,732, to recognize the remaining balance of the Voluntary Cleanup Tax Credits (VCTC), and to appropriate these funds into the current Fiscal Year 2017 Budget.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County has received VCTC funds for environmental cleanup projects that have been sold; and these funds need to be recognized and appropriated for future environmental cleanup projects located in Brownfield areas. This Supplemental Budget Amendment is needed to adjust the current FY2017 Budget to the actual remaining balance of VCTC from the FY2016 Budget. Funds in the current budget are allocated to the remediation the old Mosquito Control Facility. The remaining FY2016 funds being moved to the current year will be used to prepare the annual VCTC application for future funding as well as other environmental cleanup projects located in the Brownfield areas.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 129 (VCTC) by $55,732.
