RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for Public Safety Audio Visual Digital Upgrade – Claudia Simmons, Office of Purchasing, Purchasing Manager

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County, Florida, and Pro Sound, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 15-16.105, Public Safety Audio Visual Digital Upgrade, for an aggregate fee of $279,500.

BACKGROUND:
The legal advertisement for this "Request for Proposals" was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on Monday, September 26, 2016. A Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. One firm was represented at that meeting. Proposals were received from one contractor on Thursday, October 20, 2016.  Negotiations were held with Pro Sound, Inc. on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will issue the County Attorney prepared Agreement and Purchase Order.
