RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Fiscal Year 2016/2017 Purchase Order in Excess of $50,000 for the Public Safety Department - Michael D Weaver, Public Safety Department Director

That the Board approve a Single Source Procurement with Sunbelt Fire Inc., for repair and maintenance services on all Fire Services fleet vehicles, in the amount of $125,000.

An Intent to Purchase from Single Source, reference: SS 16-17.003, was posted on the County's website per procedure No: PP-060 October 24, 2016, through October 31, 2016, with no response.

BACKGROUND:

Issuance of this purchase order is necessary to ensure continuity of mission critical services provided by the Board of County Commissioners to the citizens of Escambia County through the Public Safety Department. Allocations for these expenditures were included in the approved budget for Fiscal Year 2016/2017.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funds are available in Fund 143, Fire Services, Cost Center 330206.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Department will issue the purchase requisition in accordance with the adopted FY 2016/2017 budget upon approval.
