Recommendation Concerning a Countywide Performance Audit - Amy Lovoy, Interim County Administrator

That the Board approve and authorize staff to proceed in conducting a Countywide performance audit of all departments under the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and the BCC as a whole, with the audit to be conducted by an outside firm contracted via the procurement process.

BACKGROUND:

Based on discussion and direction from the Board at the January 14, 2019 and March 14, 2019 Committees of the Whole, staff developed a draft version of a scope of work. This draft scope details expectations and required deliverables from the selected contractor and will be distributed by either RLI or RFP. The intent is for the performance audit to be concluded and deliverables received prior to the arrival of the new County Administrator.

Pending Board approval, County Administration will work with the Office of Purchasing to launch this performance audit RLI/RFP in a timely manner.
