RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Funding Allocation for the Aggie Classic - Steven Barry, District V Commissioner

That the Board approve the funding allocation request for $2,500, to be funded from the District V Discretionary Fund, for the Aggie Classic, and approve the Purchase Order for this purpose.

BACKGROUND:

The Aggie Classic as been in existence since 1993 and will be hosting their annual tournament this year on March 18-20 for 20 teams from Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Over the years, the tournament has brought in over 350 teams from California, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, New York, and Washington D.C.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This will be funded using dollars from the District V Discretionary fund.

Upon Board approval, Commissioner Barry's office will work with Aggie Classic Tournament staff to obtain the necessary paperwork to issue the payment request.
