| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for Muscogee Road Phase IV-B (Booker to CR 297A) Widening Project and Drainage Improvements - Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board Approve and authorize the Interim County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County, Florida and Roads, Inc. of NWF per the terms and conditions of PD 18-19.025, Muscogee Rd Phase 4B (Booker Street to Cr 297A) Widening and Drainage Improvements in the amount of $558,353.09.

| BACKGROUND: |
The Muscogee Road Phase IV-B (Booker to CR 297A) Widening project will primarily consist of milling the existing road, addition of a 5’ paved shoulder, and overlaying the entire section with 4” of asphalt. The length of the project is approximately 0.6 miles. The project will also include minor regrading, driveway improvements for those damaged or disturbed during construction, mailbox replacement, and utility adjustments as necessary to facilitate construction.
The legal advertisement for this "Invitation to Bid" was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on February 21, 2019 and February 26, 2019. A non-mandatory pre-solicitation conference was held on March 26, 2019. Two bids were received and opened on March 21, 2019. Roads, Inc of NWF is the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder.
