RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning WageWorks, Inc., Order Form for COBRA Services - Eric Kleinert, Human Resources Department Director

That the Board take the following action:

A. Approve the Wageworks, Inc., Order Form for COBRA Services, effective March 1, 2019, through February 28, 2020; and

B. Ratify the signature of Amy Lovoy, Interim County Administrator, on the Wageworks, Inc., Order Form for COBRA Services.

The County, through USI, went out for bid on COBRA Services and WageWorks, Inc., came back as the lowest price with a one- year contract for COBRA Services.

[The total increase in the expense to the County is approximately $500 to administer the County's COBRA Services. Funding Source:  Fund 501, Internal Service Fund, Cost Center 150108, Object Code 54501]
BACKGROUND:
By Board action on March 18, 2016, the County previously entered into an agreement with WageWorks, Inc. to furnish Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) Services for a three-year term at a rate of $0.32 per eligible person, per month (PEPM). 

This Order Form will serve to extend the term of coverage for one-year term commencing on 3/1/19 and expiring on 2/28/20, at a rate of $0.35 per eligible person, per month (PEPM).
 
USI solicited the market for the County and received four proposals for various lengths of time with WageWorks being the lowest cost:

TASC                                                                 Discovery Benefits
 
The County received a one-year contract from WageWorks.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Total increase in the expense to the County of approximately $500 to administer the County's COBRA Services (funding source: Fund 501, Internal Service Fund, Cost Center 150108, Object Code 54501).
