RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Funding Allocation to Booker T. Washington High School Chorus - Commissioner Robert Bender, District 4

That the Board approve the funding allocation of $1,000 from Commissioner Robert Bender's Discretionary Fund to sponsor the Booker T. Washington High School Chorus trip to Carnegie Hall on Sunday, April 21, 2019.

BACKGROUND:

The Booker T. Washington High School Chorus has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, April 21, 2019, and this donation will be used to support travel expenses associated with this trip.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

As part of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget approved by the Board, each Commissioner received $50,000 to use at their discretion.
