RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #111 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #111, General Fund (001) and Local Option Sales Tax Ill (LOST) Fund (352), in the amount of $123,952, to recognize the Sheriffs off-duty officer, investigative costs, insurance proceeds, auto repairs, and miscellaneous reimbursements/fees ($43,692), and the proceeds from the sale/auction of older, high-mileage vehicles that were purchased with LOST ($80,260), and to appropriate these funds back into the Sheriffs Administrative Budget to offset operational expenses and the LOST portion back into LOST Project 08SH0018 for future vehicle/equipment purchases.

BACKGROUND:

The Sheriffs Department has received off-duty officer, insurance proceeds, auto repairs, investigative costs and miscellaneous costs reimbursements/fees associated with providing law enforcement and services in Escambia County totaling $43,692 will be placed back into the Sheriffs General Fund Budget to off-set programmatic costs. The Sheriff also sold/auctioned 23 vehicles originally purchased with LOST totaling $80,260, funds will be placed back into the Sheriffs LOST allocation for future vehicles/equipment purchases.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 001 (General Fund) by $43,692 and Fund 352 (LOST Ill) by $80,260.
