RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Woodlands Subdivision Drainage Improvements - Joy Jones, P.E., Engineering Department Director

That the Board approve bringing $300,000, available in Fund 353, Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) IV, Cost Center 210106, forward from Fiscal Year 2025 to Fiscal Year 2019, for the Woodlands Subdivision Drainage Improvements Project, so that staff can begin the design and property acquisition process.

This Project is located in Commission District 5.

BACKGROUND:

This project will include the design and construction of drainage infrastructure improvements to address repetitive property and home flooding in the area of the Woodlands Subdivision. The project is planned to improve flooding issues impacting neighborhood residents, a church, condominium/apartment residents, and a commercial business in the area.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

No budgetary impact occurs. Funding is currently programmed in Fund 353, Local Option Sales Tax IV, Cost Center 210106.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Scheduling and prioritization of capital improvement projects are at the discretion of the Board.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon Board approval of this request, a budget amendment will be forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget to reallocate the funds to the appropriate project.
