RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #100 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #100, HUD HOME Fund (147), in the amount of $169,591, to recognize and appropriate prior year available funds in the HUD HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). Funds are used for housing related activities such as housing assistance, rehabilitation, and construction of new rental or home buyer housing in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties.

BACKGROUND:

During the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 budget cycle, budgeted HOME Program funds were underestimated. This SBA will recognize the difference between the available balance in the HUD HOME Program versus what is currently in the budget. At the time the budget was submitted, it was based on an estimated amount the County expected to receive from the federal government and anticipated available balances. This recognizes and appropriates the difference between the estimated amount and the actual grant funds available as of October 1, 2018.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 147 by $169,591.
