RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning the Program Participation Agreement Between Pathways for Change, Inc., and Escambia County - William R. Powell, Director of Corrections
That the Board take the following action concerning the Program Participation Agreement between Pathways for Change, Inc. (PFC), a Florida not-for-profit corporation and Escambia County, Florida, a political subdivision of the State of Florida (County):
A. Approve the Program Participation Agreement between Pathways for Change, Inc., and Escambia County, Florida; and
B. Authorize the Chairman to sign the referenced Agreement.

BACKGROUND: |
Pathways for Change, Inc., has created an outreach program to assist individuals who have recently been released from a correctional facility in assimilating into society. The County agrees to contribute, for Fiscal Year 2019/2020, up to
$175,000, to PFC for eligible costs and expenses related to compensation, including full time salary and benefits, for the following PFC staff positions:
A. Admissions Specialist/Court Liaison;
B. Treatment Program Manager;
C. Case Manager;
D. Executive Director;
E. Mental Health Contract Counselors; and
F. After Care Specialist/Director of Alumni.
In addition, for the County's Fiscal Year 2019/2020, the County shall internally allocate the sum of $168,750 for transitional housing costs related other Program in lieu of payment directly to PFC. |
