Recommendation Concerning Rescind Request for PD 18-19.095, Re-Solicit for Food Services at the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center - John Dosh, Interim Director, Public Safety and Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board rescind the award approved by the Board on September 5, 2019 (CAR II-19; AI-16701), Re-Solicit for Food Services at the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center.

BACKGROUND:
The sole bidder has elected to withdraw their bid due to workers compensation insurance requirements.

An Invitation to Bid for PD 18-19.095, Re-Solicit Food Services at the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center, was publicly noticed via Vendor Registry on July 22, 2019, to 73 individuals representing 53 firms. The solicitation was viewed by 18 individuals representing 16 firms, and was downloaded by 9 firms.

One bid was received from a local firm, HGT, Inc. d/b/a Green Acres Convenience Store and Deli, offering a price of $11 per meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a price of 65% over cost for snacks.
