RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning a Request for Disposition of Property for the Department of Natural Resources Management - J. Taylor "Chips" Kirschenfeld, Director, Department of Natural Resources Management

That the Board approve the Request for Disposition of Property Form relating to a Multi-Parameter Water Quality Meter that is obsolete. This item will be used as a trade-in for a discount of up to 20 percent towards a replacement.

BACKGROUND:

The multi-parameter water quality meter, model MP Troll 9500, has become obsolete in that the model is no longer supported by the manufacturer, and parts required for annual maintenance are no longer readily available. Water Quality & Land Management (WQLM) Division is currently in the process of obtaining quotes to purchase a replacement unit, and could receive up to a 20% discount by trading in the current meter.

No budgetary impact associated with this recommendation.

No legal consideration/sign-off associated with this recommendation.

PERSONNEL:

No impact to personnel associated with this recommendation.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Board Policy Section II, Part B.1., Procedures for Disposition of Property.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon approval by the Board, Water Quality staff will remove the property number tag and it will be returned to the Clerk's Office.
