BACKGROUND:

Meeting in regular session on July 7, 2016, the Board approved issuing a purchase order to Roads, Inc. of NWF, on Contract PD 14-15.064 "General Paving and Drainage Agreement" to pave approximately 0.8286 miles of Mack's Road from Highway 99 to the East End. This project also included clearing and grubbing, the installation of 1.5" of SP 12.5 asphalt, base preparation, drainage, sod, shoulder establishment, installation of driveways, and shoulder work.

This Change Order, #1, in the amount of $19,500.00, is an additive change order to add 1950 linear feet of 4-foot high woven wire fence which was inadvertently left off the original contract.

Section 14 "Contract Term/Renewal/Termination" of the contract states that "No project shall exceed $350,000 without prior approval of the Board of County Commissioners." Because this Change Order takes the amount of the purchase order over $350,000, Board approval is required.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Funds for this project are available in Fund 352, Local Option Sales Tax III, Cost Center 210107/56301, Project #16EN3655.
