BACKGROUND:
On July 14, 2014, the County issued an Invitation to Bidders (PD13-14.065) seeking vendors to provide inmate food services to the Escambia County Jail.  On September 25, 2014, the County entered into an agreement with Aramark Correctional Services, LLC as a result of the solicitation.  Section 2 of the respective agreement outlines the term of the agreement.  The term is listed as three years from the effective date (outlined in Amendment 1 of the referenced agreement) with two possible one-year extensions if mutually agreed upon by both parties.  It is the request of the Corrections Department that we utilize the second of the two possible additional renewal periods for the period of April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.  This agreement will be re-solicited during fiscal year 2020.
