Recommendation Concerning Dellaina Merritt v. Escambia County, Florida, Case No. 3:15-cv-00286-MCR-EMT

That the Board consider legal matters arising from the lawsuit of Dellaina Merritt v. Escambia County, Florida, Case No. 3:15-cv-00286-MCR-EMT.

BACKGROUND:

Dellaina Merritt has filed a claim for overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This lawsuit is now pending in U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Florida before Chief Judge M. Casey Rodgers. Certain legal issues have arisen which require discussion and action by the Board of County Commissioners.
