RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning a Resolution Ratifying Participation in a Joint Public Meeting.

That the Board adopt a Resolution ratifying participation in a joint public meeting on December 4, 2019, with the City Council of the City of Pensacola.

BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to Section 125.001, Florida Statutes, the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is authorized to hold joint public meetings with the governing body of one or more adjacent counties or municipalities to dicuss matters of mutual interest. In order to participate in a joint public meeting, the governing body must adopt a resolution authorizing such participation. Per the statute, no official vote may be taken at a joint public meeting.
