RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Approval to Issue Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Purchase Order, in Excess of $25,000, to Swagit Productions, LLC, for Video Streaming Services - Bart Siders, Information Technology Department Director

That the Board authorize the issuance of a Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Purchase Order to Swagit Productions, LLC, of Plano, Texas for Video Streaming Services, in the amount of $27,600. This hosted solution will provide 24 hour a day, 7 day a week continuous streaming of the Escambia County Television Programing and on-demand video streaming of the Board of County Commissioners' (BCC) Meetings that are indexed to the published meeting Agendas.

BACKGROUND:

The County has offered video streaming of the BCC meetings for many years. The issuance of this Purchase Order is necessary to ensure continuity of the video streaming service with a hosted solution that will provide 24x7 continuous streaming of the Escambia County TV programming, on-demand video streaming of the BCC meetings that are indexed to the published meeting agendas.

Funds are available in the current year Budget, Fund 001, General Fund, Cost Center 270102, Object Code 54601.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This Recommendation is in compliance with the Escambia County, FL Code of Ordinances, Chapter 46, Article II, Purchase and Contracts. Per the guidance received at the October 3, 2019, Board Meeting, all purchases over $25,000 must have BCC approval.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Office of Purchasing will issue a Purchase Order.
