RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning a Reappointment, or an Appointment to the Area Housing Commission - Janice P. Gilley, County Administrator

That the Board take the following action concerning a reappointment, or an appointment to the Area Housing Commission:

A. Reappoint John Carrell to serve another four-year term, effective December 18, 2019, through December 17, 2022; or

B. Appoint one of the following candidates to serve a four-year term, effective December 18, 2019, through December 17, 2022:

1. Jackie Garrick; or

2. Kathleen H. Crook.

Ms. Garrick and Ms. Crook responded to the General Alert posted on the County's website from November 1, 2019, to November 14, 2019, to seek residents interested in volunteering to be considered for an appointment on the Area Housing Commission.

BACKGROUND:

John Carrell was first appointed to the Area Housing Commission, effective May 3, 2018, to serve the unexpired term of Marie Young, who had resigned. His term is set to expire on December 17, 2019. He has indicated that he would like to be considered for reappointment. Mr. Carrell's Resume is provided for review.
