| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for Scale Maintenance and Repair for Perdido Landfill and Palafox Transfer Station - Pat Johnson, Director, Waste Services through Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County, Florida, and Ziel Scale, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 18-19.112, Scale Maintenance and Repair for Perdido Landfill and Palafox Transfer Station, in the amount of $40,000 (annually).

| BACKGROUND: |
| An Invitation to Bid for PD 18-19.112, Scale Maintenance and Repair for Perdido Landfill and Palafox Transfer Station was publicly noticed to 34 registrants representing 26 firms via Vendor Registry on September 27, 2019. The solicitation was viewed by 22 firms and downloaded by 14. A non-mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference was held on October 11, 2019, in the Office of Purchasing. Three Firms attended. Bids were received from two firms on October 28, 2019. Ziel Scale, Inc., was deemed to be the lowest responsive and responsible firm. |
