That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #007, Mass Transit Fund (104), in the amount of $61,569, to recognize the difference in funding from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) between what is budgeted in the current year ($942,970) and the actual award ($991,517) for the Block Grant and the difference between what is budgeted in the current year ($434,059) and the actual award ($447,081) for the Davis Highway Corridor Grant, and to appropriate these funds to be used for operating expenses at Mass Transit.
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) was awarded additional funding from FDOT for the Block Grant and the Davis Highway Corridor Grant. FDOT will reimburse Escambia County 50% of operating costs up to a maximum of $991,517. The Davis Highway Corridor Grant is provided to cover operating funds for Route 45 - Davis Highway (Corridor). These funds are allocated by FDOT from State Transportation Corridor Development funds annually, and must be accepted by the receiving agency. FDOT will reimburse Escambia County 50% of costs associated with the Davis Highway Corridor up to the maximum allowed of $447,081.
