RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning Contract Amendment for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 State Financial Assistance Recipient Agreement, in the Amount of $34,496.88, with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the Mosquito Control Division - J. Taylor "Chips" Kirschenfeld, Director, Department of Natural Resources Management
That the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 State Financial Assistance Recipient Agreement (FDACS Contract #26485) with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Division of Administration, for the Mosquito Control Division, which amends the not-to-exceed amount FDACS will pay from $34,480.64 to $34,496.88.

BACKGROUND: |
At its regular meeting on November 7, 2019 (CAR II-14), the Board approved the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 State Finanical Assistance Recipient Agreement (Contract #26485) with FDACS, in the amount of $34,480.00. This Amendment will increase the funding amount to $34,496.88.
Florida Statutes, Chapter 388, and Florida Administration Code, Chapter 5E-13, authorizes the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to regulate and administer mosquito control throughout the State of Florida. Compliance with the annual State Financial Assistance Recipient Contract provides for Grant funding to be distributed to the Escambia County Mosquito Control Division. |

Fund 106, Mosquito and Arthropod Control, Cost Center 220703, M&A State One Funds. Amendment will increase Contract amount from $34,480.00 to $34,496.88 for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. |

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION: |
The Mosquito Control Division management will ensure that Escambia County complies with the annual State Financial Assistance Recipient Contract #26485 and performs all required activities. |
