RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for the Demolition of the Central Booking Facility - Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County, Florida, and Jobe's Dirt Works, LLC, per the terms and conditions of PD 17-18.080, Demolition of the Central Booking Facility, for the lump sum of $ 476,900.

BACKGROUND:
The legal advertisement for this "Invitation to Bid" was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on June 18, 2018.  Fifty four contractors were notified.  A non-mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conferences was held on June 26, 2018.  Ten firms were in attendance at that meeting.  Bids were received from six firms on August 14, 2018.  Jobe's Dirt Works, LLC was the lowest and most responsive and responsible bidder at $476,900.

This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will issue the Attorney's Standard Form of Construction Contract Form A and Purchase Order.
