RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Funding Allocation for Truth For Youth, Inc., to Hold the 2018 Back On The Blocks Festival - Commissioner Lumon May, District 3

That the Board approve the funding allocation of $1,500 for Truth For Youth, Inc., to hold the 2018 Back On The Blocks Festival, Inc., from Commissioner Lumon May's discretionary money.

BACKGROUND:

The 2018 Back On The Blocks Festival will be held on Friday, November 9th, through Saturday, November 10th, at the Belmont Cultural Center, 432 West Belmont Street, Pensacola, Florida, in Historic Belmont-Devillers. This is the 5th year of celebrating the "cultural flavor" of this historic neighborhood; the event has become a culturally creative space for residents and visitors to enjoy.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

As part of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget approved by the Board, each Commissioner received $50,000 to use at their discretion.
