Recommendation Concerning Scheduling a Public Hearing Regarding the Fiscal Year 2018 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program Local Solicitation - Derek Whidden, Risk Manager, Escambia County Sheriff's Office

That the Board authorize the scheduling of a Public Hearing on October 4th, 2018, at 5:31 p.m., for the purpose of receiving public comments concerning the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, Fiscal Year 2018 Local Solicitation Project funding.

BACKGROUND:

The Department of Justice requires applicants allow for public comment prior to the
award of any funding under this program on its intended uses to the extent applicable
law or established procedures make such opportunity available.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

There are no matching funds required by this application.
