RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Issuance of a Purchase Order to Dynamic Security, Inc., for Security Services - Kayla Blanchard, Administrative Services Manager

That the Board authorize and approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Dynamic Security, Inc., in the amount of $458,000, for the purchase of security services to be utilized at entrances to the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Building and the Theodore Bruno Juvenile Justice Center. Dynamic Security, Inc., is the current provider of security services at both locations.

This purchase will not impact the General Revenue Fund.

BACKGROUND:

The purchase of security services and the subsequent issuance of the Purchase Order for Dynamic Security, Inc., are necessary to provide continuous security services at the entrances of the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Building and the Theodore Bruno Juvenile Justice Center as a result of the Escambia County Sheriff's office termination of the Memorandum of Understanding with Court Administration to provide the same security services. These services are imperative to ensure security to courthouse personnel and members of the public entering and exiting these facilities. The Contract with Dynamic Security, Inc., was approved by the Escambia Board of County Commissioners during the Board Meeting on September 21, 2017. Dynamic Security, Inc., has provided security services to both of our facilities since November 2017.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The estimated yearly cost for security services by Dynamic Security, Inc., at the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Building and the Theodore Bruno Juvenile Justice Center is $458,000.
