Recommendation Concerning Out-of-County Travel to Attend Visit Pensacola's Focus Group Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia - Commissioner Robert Bender, District 4

That the Board authorize Out-of-County travel for Commissioner Robert Bender to attend Visit Pensacola's Focus Group meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. The only expenditure associated with this trip would be airfare.

BACKGROUND:

Visit Pensacola commissioned a research study to determine the Unique Emotional Positioning of our destination. Part of this study is a series of Focus Groups in key markets including Dallas, Houston, Nashville, and Atlanta. The goal is to identify the emotions that visitors associate with Pensacola so that Visit Pensacola can incorporate the information into their marketing. This study is extremely important now since the Pensacola Bay Bridge was damaged by a barge during Hurricane Sally.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Airfare is the only expenditure that Comr. Bender is requesting reimbursement on.

This request is in compliance with the Board's policy on Out-of-County Travel, Section I, Part C, Item Number 4.

Comrmissioner Robert Bender will be making the necessary travel arrangements for this trip.
