RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Approval to Issue Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Purchase Order, in Excess of $50,000, to Stryker Sales Corporation for the Public Safety Department - John Dosh, Interim Public Safety Department Director

That the Board take the following action regarding the Approval to Issue Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Purchase Order, in Excess of $50,000, to Stryker Sales Corporation for the maintenance Contract renewal of the Power Load System and Power Cots that lift stretchers in and out of ambulances for the Public Safety Department:

A. Authorize the County Administrator to sign the ProCare Services Agreement for annual maintenance for 30 power load systems and 37 power cots. The original purchase of the equipment was purchased according to Specification Number PD 15-16.084; and

B. Authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Stryker Sales Corporation, in the amount of $80,556.80, to renew the annual maintenance Contract.

BACKGROUND:

Issuance of this purchase order is necessary to ensure continuity of mission critical services by the Board of County Commissioners to the citizens of Escambia County through the Public Safety Department. Stryker Sales Corporation provides the annual maintenance contract for all Power-Loads purchased by EMS. The maintenance provides EMS with annual inspections and repairs to ensure compliance with industry requirements.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
The Agreement was reviewed by Senior Assistant County Attorney Kristin Hual to legal form and sufficiency.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Escambia County, FL Code of Ordinances, Chapter 46, Article II, Purchase and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will issue a Purchase Order.
