RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Purchase of Security Officer Services through Dynamic Security, Inc., for the Entrances at the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Facility and the T. Bruno Juvenile Center - Will Moore, Chief Deputy Court Administrator

That the Board authorize and approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Dynamic Security, Inc., in the amount of $451,000, for the purchase of security officer services at the entrances to the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Facility and the T. Bruno Juvenile Center.

This purchase will impact the General Revenue Fund.

BACKGROUND:

The purchase of Security Officer services and the subsequent issuance of the Purchase Order for Dynamic Security, Inc. are necessary to provide continuous security services at the entrances of the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Center and the T. Bruno Juvenile Center as a result of the Escambia County Sheriff's office termination of the Memorandum of Understanding with Court Administration to provide the same security services. These services are imperative to ensure security not only to the courthouse personnel but also for members of the public entering and exiting these facilities. The contract with Dynamic Security, Inc. was approved by the Escambia Board of County Commissioners during the Committee Meeting on September 21, 2017.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The impact to the General Fund is as follows:
The estimated yearly cost for security officer services through Dynamic Security, Inc. at the two facilities is $451,000.00.
