BACKGROUND:
For the past 15 years, Pete Moore, owner of Pete Moore Chevrolet, has presented Pensacola Beach Public Safety with the vehicles that have been used in numerous life-saving beach rescues. As a result of Mr. Moore’s generosity, the “Moore Safe Shores” program, a multi-level beach safety campaign, was created. As a way to show Escambia County’s appreciation, the Pete Moore Chevrolet Pelican will be repainted to become the “Moore Safe Shores” Pelican to stand watch over Pensacola Beach near the Public Safety Building.
