RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Conveyance of Equipment from Escambia County to CAN Community Health, Inc. - Robert E. Dye, Interim Facilities Management Director

That the Board adopt and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution for the conveyance of Dental Equipment as shown on Exhibit A from Escambia County to CAN Community Health, Inc.

BACKGROUND:

CAN Community Health, Inc. (CAN), is a non-profit corporation that provides a continuum of medical, social, and educational services essential to the health and well-being of those living with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, sexually transmitted diseases and other diseases and to enhance public awareness.

CAN requests that the County convey the Dental Equipment for use in its health care clinic in conjunction with the Florida Department of Health at 8390 North Palafox Highway, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida 32534.

It has been determined that the Dental Equipment listed on Exhibit A is not needed for County purposes and that it is in the best interest of the County to convey the Dental Equipment to CAN.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney's Office has prepared the the Resolution and approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

PERSONNEL:

N/A

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Current Policy requires Board approval for conveyance of equipment.
