Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #021 - Derelict Vessel Removal Grant - J. Taylor "Chips" Kirschenfeld, Director, Department of Natural Resources Management - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #021, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $3,300, to recognize Grant proceeds from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for FWC #19105 - Derelict Vessel Grant to remove and dispose of an eligible derelict vessel. Total project cost is $4,400 and requires a 25% match of $1,100 which will be provided from Vessel Registration Fees (Available balance in Vessel Registration $129.7k). Natural Resources Management will also provide project management for in-kind match.

BACKGROUND:

On October 3, 2019, the BCC approved the Derelict Vessel Removal Grant from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the amount of $3,300. Total project cost is $4,400 and requires a 25% match. Escambia County will provide the 25% cash match ($1,100) from Vessel Registration Fees (Fund 110, Cost Center 220807). Natural Resources will also provide project management for in-kind match and will continue coordination with FWC on all activities associated with the Grant Agreement.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This Amendment will increase Fund 110 in the amount of $3,300. There is a 25% cash match ($1,100) which will be provided from Vessel Registration Fees.
