| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning the Contract Award for the Annual Preventative Generator Maintenance Service Contract - Robert Dye, Interim Facilities Management Director through Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County and Coastal Generators, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 18-19.087, Annual Generator Preventative Maintenance Service Contract, in the amount of $43,350, for Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
An Invitation to Bid for PD 18-19.087, Annual Generator Preventative Maintenance Service Contract, was publicly noticed to 224 registrants, representing 68 firms via Vendor Registry on July 17, 2019. The solicitation was viewed by 32 firms and downloaded by 24 firms.

| BACKGROUND: |
This Contract will provide Annual Preventative Maintenance on 51 County-owned emergency generators, ranging from 5kw to 2000kw, located at buildings throughout Escambia County. The Contractor will perform annual on-site preventative maintenance, as well as monthly operational checks, including start-up/run of generators and troubleshooting malfunctions of the generators, transfer switches and associated equipment. These generators are critical equipment and vital for the continuity of operations of Escambia County Departments in the event of power failures, and natural and/or catastrophic events as we provide services to our Citizens and aide in their recovery.
An Invitation to Bid for PD 18-19.087, Annual Generator Preventative Maintenance Service Contract, was publicly noticed to 224 registrants, representing 68 firms via Vendor Registry on July 17, 2019. The solicitation was viewed by 32 firms and downloaded by 24 firms. A non-mandatory Pre-Solicitation conference was held on August 2, 2019, in the Office of Purchasing. Three firms attended. Bids were received from four firms, two firms No-Bid. Coastal Generator was deemed to be the lowest cost and most capable to perform the statement of work. |
